The Pitch and Hit Club of Chicago is a professional baseball organization that promotes the game of baseball in the Chicago area. The Club was formed by a group of Major League players and scouts in January of 1942, originally as a social organization.

Since its inception, the club has grown substantially in size as well as stature in the professional baseball community.

The mission of the Pitch and Hit Club is to be a per-eminent baseball organization primarily through recognition of the achievements of a variety of people in the baseball community each year at our annual awards banquet.

The club not only seeks to recognize accomplishments in the baseball world at all levels both amateur and professional, but also to use the proceeds from our annual banquet and other fund raising events to benefit worthwhile baseball related organizations.

We have and will continue to make substantial donations to organizations such as:

• The Professional Baseball Scouts Foundation
• Cubs Care
• White Sox Charities
• Grand Kids’ (Chicago’s own Curtis Granderson) Foundation

Further to our mission, we continue to promote and support the game of baseball in any number of ways including volunteering for baseball related events, publicity on our website and social media, and other baseball social events.

The club conducts monthly dinner meetings (dinner is free to active members) during the baseball off-season at professional baseball facilities in the Chicago area.
