Madison Vrastil (High School Softball Player of the Year), and Kendal Ewell (Chicago Area College Player of the Year), will both be honored at the 77th annual banquet next month at the Tinley Park Convention Center.

Vrastil, a product of Andrew High School in Tinley Park, started playing softball at the age of 4. Her 2024 senior season was off the charts. The left-handed (batting/slapping) all-state catcher hit .509, with 3HR’s and 25 RBI’s. She also scored 59 runs and stole 39 bases. She will be playing college softball at Valparaiso University.

Ewell is a product of Marist High School and the White Sox ACE program. In 2024 he had an amazing season for the UIC Flames. He hit .391, slugged 21 homers and drove in 69 runs. He had an OPS of 1.289
