The Pitch & Hit Club held their first fall meeting on Tuesday, September 10 at Comm’s Corner in Lockport.
Guest speaker was Baseball Coach/Author Paul Babcock, a top Illinois high school baseball coach who played and coached with the legendary Gordie Gillespie who coached 58 years at Lewis University, College of St. Francis and Ripon College. His 1,893 wins were at the top of college baseball for many years.
Paul’s new book, “The Team”, is about having coached and played for the legendary Gillespie. The book highlites Gordie’s secrets of what made him an incredible coach, leader, teacher and human being. It is available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Google Play and iTunes.
