Jon “Boog” Sciambi will be honored with the Harry Caray Sportscaster of the Year Award at our January 18 Banquet. The banquet will be held at the Tinley Park Convention Center, 18451 Convention Center Drive, Tinley Park. Doors open at 3:30 for autographs and the memorabilia auction. Dinner begins at 5PM.
Sciambi has been the everyday play-by-play announcer for the Cubs broadcasts on Marquee since 2021. He has also worked extensively as a baseball play-by-play announcer, calling games for ESPN television and radio.
Sciambi was born in Philadelphia and grew up in New York City. He attended Boston College and began his broadcasting career on WZBC, the school’s FM station. He has also worked for Miami Marlins and Atlanta Braves.
